This is a guide by Malzar, the current Any% WR holder in S&S1.

This guide is purely meant to be a high str blow bosses off the map build by the time you get out of nine cat build, and it's very RNG based. But when it all falls together, you can get a very fast time.

Start off your run by putting 6 into str, and 6 into attack, then don't stop putting future points into strength until you're out of bo sun. After Bosun you'll be placing most points into strength but by the time you hit slave driver maybe have about 8 into attack. you should be quick hitting everyone up to this point as well. Right before slave driver you can do a 'safe' move by buying a few pieces of armor, or go full reliant on RNG and skip this part.
You aren't exactly strong enough to rely on the extremely low possibility of Power hits to kill him quickly, so this will be a quick attack battle as well.

Once out of what I call the first 'hump' of the run (Slave Driver) you'll still be continuing quick attacks on people, and continuing to put your points into strength with one in attack every other battle or so. By the time you get to Nine Cat you should have a minimum of 10 attack though. This is where you can start your power hit game plan on bosses. You'll also have a high enough attack at this point to start utilizing normal attacks as well. Throw power attacks at him and take him down!

Make a quick stop for more armor and get back to the fight! OR skip it and rely on that beautiful disaster of RNG this game has.

After Nine Cat you'll be focusing the stats points you gain from him and the following fights all into strength.

The Second Hump of the run. Stylonius. Him adn Slave Driver are hands down the toughest bosses in this run because your stats aren't ever good enough to just chip their health away easily. Stylonius is a special snowflake of fights, mostly rely on power hits to take him down, but sometimes normal attacks CAN blow him off of the map, or pick his health away. Quick Attacks can pick him apart piece by piece but you don't have the luxury of enough health to with stand his HEAVY blows. So try and power attack him away as fast as possible and put the winning points into strength.

After the next 'random guy' battle after Stylonius use those stat points into Attack.

Pretty much every boss fight from here on out you'll be going for power hits to win them. You can utilize an initial 'quick' attack to jump in on them! It'd be silly not to try and get free damage than to use a movement turn to get there instead. But as for random guy battle guys quick attacks are fine! But if you can stop one with a power attack it'l go faster of course. Literally every boss After Nine Cat should be power attack and random guys can be quicks to re-iterate. After the random guy after stylonius you'll be putting most stats into str, but by the time you do gett o he-chaso the final boss have atleast 15 attack.
